FLARECAST is a research project aiming at developing a fully automated solar flare forecasting system with an unmatched accuracy compared to existing facilities. It has recieved funding from from the European Union’s Horizon2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No.640216. It will be carried out from 2015-2017. The consortium consists of a multidisciplinary team of physicists, software developers and a science communicator.
